Creating something together is the essence of the human experience. It keeps us young, imaginative and light on our feet. Creativity is the great liberator and healer. It allows us to be childlike and curious. I never knew a creative soul who was in a hurry to abandon their childhood sense of mischief and adventure.

Creative therapeutic art provides the opportunity for visual expression and subsequent communication/conversation inspired by what has been created. The creative language can remove emotional obstacles allowing for self growth and self awareness. The act of being creative, painting, drawing and photography can alleviate burnout, being overwhelmed or more complicated emotional issues while keeping us present.

Spoken word has its roots in ancient oral traditions. Whether poetry reading or other literary and performance based vocalizations, one learns to experience their voice as an instrument. One learns to summon the power and beauty of their natural voice from the diaphragm. The health benefits, breathing techniques are enormous and this is a wonderful way to reduce stress while having fun.

Art Gallery Exhibit
David has amassed a collection of art that is global in scope, yet truly personal and focused on themes of revolutionary struggles, the pursuit of equality, unconventional beauty, death, rebellion and divinity. The juxtapositions and layering of works from the collection in the RootLove gallery produces a gestalt that is more powerful than the sum of its parts. One experiences the collection more than merely observing it and is rewarded by repeated immersion.

Rootlove's creative events are the joining of several creative mediums within our art studio/gallery. Food , spoken word, mime, art, music and film are the heartbeat of these offerings. Each creative event is dedicated to bringing people together from all walks of life. Where everyone is WELCOMED !
